Founding for Senior Undergraduate or Technical School Projects



   Dear Engineering or Tehnical Scool Professional:


   Are you in need of founding for engineering/arhitectural senior [rpjects or 2-years tehnical school projects? If so, the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc., which could mean up to $5,00.00 in aid for your senior project

   ASHRAE is an international tehnical organization with over 50,000 members from 120 nations. ASHRAE is dedicated to advancing the arts and sciences of heating, refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, their allied arts and sciences, and related human factors for the benefit of the general public.

   By providing grant founds to engineering or arhitectural senior projects and 2-years tehnical school projects, ASHRAE hopes to fill a need often found in undergraduate engineering and tehnical school programs and to encurage students to presure ASHRAE-related careers.

   This program provides grants to engineering, tehnical and arhitectural schools worldwide with the goalof increasing student knowledge, learning and awareness of the HVAC&R Industry throush the design and construction of senior projects. The grant application must be submitted by the faculty member(s) responsible for the project. The application may be made from any engineering arhitecture or engineering technology departament; however, the project must involve ASHRAE-realted topics. The faculty member(s) and student(s) responsabile for the projects are NOT required to be members of ASHRAE. The grant is made to your school solely for the support of the materials of the materials required for the project and NOT for founding school overhead costs, faculty or studend salaries.

   To apply for an ASHRAE Senior Undergraduate Project Grant, a faculty member must go online to the Scholarships, Grants & Design Competition section of the ASHRAE Student Zone (http://www.ashrae.org/studentzone) and complete the application and submit it electronically via e-mail to apruett@ashrae.org. Please note: we will accept electronic applications. The deadline is December 1, 2005. Late or incomplete entries will not be accepted.
