Hildegard Brandl is an architect and entrepreneur, Managing Partner of UNITH2B Architects, a Bucharest-based practice of over 30 architects working across 16
cities in Romania and the Republic of Moldova, with strategic expertise in healthcare, education and sports infrastructure.
Born in Romania, she left for Germany
at the age of five and lived there for 25 years. She returned to Bucharest in 1995 to study at the “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urbanism and
graduated as an architect from Technische Universität Dortmund. After a sabbatical year in Bonaire (Caribbean) she founded her first architecture office in
Venezuela, and in 2009 returned to Europe to establish UNITH2B Architects together with her business partner, architect Anca Brandiburg. Alongside her
practice, she has spent more than a decade shaping public policy on construction legislation, energy efficiency and the business environment, in Romania and at
European level.
