Danube ASHRAE Chapter Meeting in Timișoara

An important moment for regional cooperation in the field of building services engineering took place in Timișoara during the Danube ASHRAE Chapter Meeting.

The day began with an official visit to the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Timișoara, where the Danube Chapter delegation, led by Prof. Bratislav Blagojevic, President of KGH Serbia, and Dr. Eng. Ioan Silviu Doboși, President of AIIR, was received by Her Excellency Vesna Kolinović, Consul.

The delegation was then received by the Rector of Politehnica University Timișoara, Prof. Florin Drăgan, continuing the institutional dialogue at the academic level. Prof. Andras Balasz, representative of the Budapest University of Technology, also participated in the meetings, highlighting the broader regional dimension of the cooperation.

Strategic Topics Discussed

A defining element of the day was the unified approach to strategic topics, which were discussed consistently throughout all meetings:

  • strengthening Romanian-Serbian collaboration;
  • expanding regional cooperation, including the participation of partners from Hungary;
  • involving the academic and professional communities;
  • emphasizing the role of authorities and professional organizations;
  • organizing CRC 2026 – Region XIV Europe in Timișoara, in partnership with Politehnica University Timișoara and Timișoara City Hall.

Visit to the Future CRC 2026 Venue

The program continued with a visit to the venue of the future CRC 2026 conference: Conference Center, Hotel Timișoara.

The day also included the Danube Chapter leadership election session, where these strategic topics were revisited and further developed from an operational perspective.
