Professor Mahroo Eftekhari is a Fellow of ASHRAE and a qualified Chartered Engineer CEng. She is the course director for Master’s in Net Zero Building Services Engineering programme at Loughborough University UK.
She served as the Director and Regional Chair DRC of ASHRAE European Region XIV from 2023-2026. She will serve as ASHRAE society Vice President VP from July 2026-2028.
She was the president of ASHRAE UK Chapter and set up several student branches across UK and Europe.
Her research interests include: Thermal comfort, IEQ, smart building control systems, digital twins, and net zero building design and operation.
